2.1 How do I fix the Skin/Body texture seam?
There are some simple fixes and some not-as-simple fixes to any perceived mismatch between the Skin applied to the Neck of the Head and the Body Skin applied to a mesh or classic body. Given the specific nature of the instructions for a not-as-simple fix, the most common steps to go through are listed on a separate page: Skin & Body Matching
Quick Fix Female:
All of our v3 Skins will only match to the same Skin Tone in the v3 Body Applier sets, so please make sure you are applying the correct body skin. The v3 Body Appliers are available in our Main Store, Genesis Lab (205, 125, 27), or on the marketplace, Genesis Lab Marketplace, with appliers for Maitreya, Belleza, Slink, and Omega-compatible Bodies as well as Vista Hand Appliers and SL Default Avatar Skins.

2.3 How can I make my Vista Bento Hands match my Genesis Lab v3 Skin?
You will need to purchase two items in order to match your Vista Hands (if you do not already have them):
To use these two items, please follow these steps:
Please Note: If you purchased the Omega relay prior to Vista's conversion to the omega installer system, and you have not updated your Vista hands, you will need to keep the relay attached when you would like to use your GL applier to change skin tones.
- The Omega System Kit for Vista Bento Hands: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Omega-System-Kit-Vista/10266925
- The Genesis Lab Vista Hands Applier: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/GenesisVistaHandsAppliersAllTones30/10628513
To use these two items, please follow these steps:
- ADD both the right and the left hands to your Avatar.
- ADD the Omega System Kit - Vista to your Avatar.
- Click the ball that your avatar is now holding to receive your installer system & accept the folder.
- Open the Omega System Kit - Vista folder and ADD the Omega System Installer - Vista item.
- Click on the HUD and wait for both hands to respond with "Thank you for Activating Omega!"
- ADD the Genesis_Vista_Hands_Appliers_All_Tones_3.x to your Avatar & accept the folder (detach it after you receive your folder).
- Locate the folder Genesis_Vista_Hands_Appliers_All_Tones_3.0 and ADD the Genesis_Vista_Hands_Appliers_All_Tones_3.x item to your Avatar.
- Choose the matching v3 Skin Tone to apply to your Vista Bento Hands & you're done!
Please Note: If you purchased the Omega relay prior to Vista's conversion to the omega installer system, and you have not updated your Vista hands, you will need to keep the relay attached when you would like to use your GL applier to change skin tones.
2.4 How do I get another brand of Ears to match my Genesis Lab v3 Skin(s)?
As there are a number of different brands that make mesh Ears, these instructions will evolve over time. Mesh ears that have available Genesis Lab Skin Tone Appliers are listed directly with any in-world location or MP link where these items can be found. All others with a tinting system will list a "recipe" for how to match your GL Skin Tone, if available (feel free to share any recipes that you use here to add to the list!).
For ^^Swallow^^ Brand of HD Ears:
As there aren't any official Genesis Lab appliers for these ears, I have included my "recipes" for how to use the packaged ^^Swallow^^ HUD to apply a close colour match to your Genesis Lab v3 Skin: Skin Tone Matching Recipes

2.5 What is the complexity for each of the Genesis Lab v3 Bento Heads?
Please see the References section - Head Type Catalog for a listing of the Genesis Lab v3 Bento Head complexities and how they can vary depending on appliers.
2.6 Are the Genesis Lab Tunnel Oreille de Lotus ears compatible?
The Genesis Lab v3 Tunnel Oreille de Lotus Ears are compatible with the Genesis Lab v3 Bento Heads and the Genesis Lab v2 Heads. The ears are not Bento-enabled mesh.
Please Note: The HUD that comes with the Genesis Lab v3 Tunnel Oreille de Lotus Ears contains only the v3 Skin Tones, and (currently) does not accept other appliers, allow for tinting the ears, nor allow you to change the metal / jewel colours.

2.7 What's the difference between the types of Genesis Lab Heads?
The different types of Genesis Lab Heads are explained in the References section: Head Type Catalog.
2.8 How do I hide / un-hide my Eyelashes?
Your v3 Settings Universal HUD has the ability to Hide / Unhide Eyelashes, as will any Genesis Lab v3 Eyelash Applier HUD.
To HIDE your lashes using the v3 Settings Universal HUD that came with your head:
PLEASE NOTE: The red circle icon only makes your Eyelashes 100% transparent. It does NOT remove them. It also will NOT UNHIDE them!
To UNHIDE your lashes using the v3 Settings Universal HUD that came with your head:
PLEASE NOTE: If either the HIDE or UNHIDE methods do not seem to work, make sure you are in a place that allows you to run scripts. Also be aware that heavier lag will cause the change to be slow. If after waiting in an area that allows scripts you still do not see any change, a relog should clear it up. (Remember that clicking the red circle icon more than once will not UNHIDE your lashes!)
To HIDE your lashes using the v3 Settings Universal HUD that came with your head:
- Locate & ADD the Genesis_Lab_HUD_3.x_Settings_Universal (Where 3.x means 3.0, 3.1, 3.2, etc.) item inside your Head folder.
- Go to the GENETIC tab (left tab).
- Find the Eyelashes section (second section down).
- Click on the red circle with a line through the eye icon on the ride hand side (next to the word HIDE) to HIDE your lashes.
PLEASE NOTE: The red circle icon only makes your Eyelashes 100% transparent. It does NOT remove them. It also will NOT UNHIDE them!
To UNHIDE your lashes using the v3 Settings Universal HUD that came with your head:

- Go to the GENETIC tab (left tab).
- Find the Eyelashes section (second section down).
- Click on any of the Eyelash style buttons in the Eyelashes section to UNHIDE your lashes.
PLEASE NOTE: If either the HIDE or UNHIDE methods do not seem to work, make sure you are in a place that allows you to run scripts. Also be aware that heavier lag will cause the change to be slow. 2.9 How do I fix Eye or Eyelash mis-alignment?
For the included Genesis Lab Eyes:
As the v3 Eyes are bento-rigged, they will not become mis-aligned from the v3 Head, because the only way to move them is through changes to the shape. If you do see any weirdness with the Eyes (popping through the head, falling out, etc.), simply relog to refresh your skeleton.
For the Eyelashes:
As the Eyelashes are attached to your Genesis Lab v3 Bento Head, they will simply move with any shape changes or animations, so there isn't any alignment necessary (or possible, in that regard). If they appear to be mis-aligned, simply relog to refresh your skeleton.

2.10 How do I fix a "hole" in my face after using an applier?
If your applier has left part of your face with a "hole", where part of your face looks like it has been cut out, then there are some possible fixes to still use your applier, but, if none of these options work for you, you will need to either remove the applier or change the layer to something else to fix the problem.
For "holes" in the face that appear around the mouth:
- Set your face to a neutral mouth position (such as the plain mouth in the static poses section of your Basic Animations HUD).
- Apply a Genesis Lab lipstick if it is a regular v3 Bento Head or a well known brand of lipstick if it is an Omega v3 Bento Head.
- Wait for about one minute to see if the hole does not reappear.
- If it reappears, clear the lipstick layer and see if that fixes the problem.
- If it does not reappear, try first changing your expression to check and If it still seems to be resolved, try clearing the lipstick layer.
2.11 How do I stop my hair from making my Eyelashes disappear?
If your hair is modifiable, you can edit your hair and choose the pieces (Edit -> Edit Linked, then also make sure to choose Select Face as well) that are hiding your Eyelashes by clicking on them (hold Shift down to click on more pieces to bundle them together and edit them all at once). Once you have the hair pieces chosen, you will need to change the Alpha mode from Alpha blending to Alpha masking and set the number in the box to a value from 1-5. Try different values to see which one you feel looks the best, and then close the edit window.
If your hair is not modifiable, you will need to ask the creator if there is a version which has the hair around the face in Alpha masking mode instead of Alpha blending mode.

2.12 How do I stop my Eyes from moving too far?
By default in Second Life, your eyes are set to follow your mouse movement.
With attachment-based Eyes, this can have the unintended effect of rotating too far in any direction, which can make for an unexpectedly unattractive look. In order to change this behaviour to a more natural random eye movement, you will need to edit your preferences in your viewer.

For Firestorm Viewers:
- Go to your Avatar menu in the top bar.
- Choose Preferences from the menu that drops down.
- Choose Firestorm from the tabs on the left side of the Preferences window.
- Choose Avatar from the tabs at the top of the Preferences window.
- Move both sliders at the top of the window (see image below) all the way over to the left (setting them to zero). (This stops your eyes from following the Vertical and Horizontal motion of your mouse cursor.)
- For a natural random eye movement, leave the "Disable random avatar eye movements" box unmarked. (If you would like your eyes to stay dead straight and not move, click in the "Disable random avatar eye movements" box.)
- Click OK.

2.13 What do I do with this UPDATE item?
If you have an item in your Head folder that ends in the word "UPDATE" or "UPDATES" that is copiable key that you can use with the machines in the store.
When you rez this item on the appropriate circle, you will receive another box of your Copy Head, so this works as a redelivery option. As we also put any updates to our heads inside of these machines, you can also get an update to your head when you use this process as well.
So keep this item safe as it is the only way to receive new updates or a new copy of your head should something happen.

2.14 Where is my Bento - Omega Head?
If you have one of the v3 Bento Heads from our Gacha games, then you will not automatically have the Bento - Omega head in your box. The Bento - Omega head is only available in the Exchanged, Copy versions of our v3 Bento Gacha Heads. The regular purchase heads will all come with a Bento - Omega head, however, so if this item is missing from your regular purchase, please use the redelivery terminal to obtain a fresh box.
If you would like to exchange your Gacha head for the Copy version, please see the v3 Exchange Instructions.
