Animating the Bento Mesh
Since all of the v3 Bento Heads are rigged to the new Bento Skeleton, (see the About Bento page for more information, if you want to know the details), animating your head is a similar process to animating your body in that animations are bone movements and not via scripted (static) frame-based multi-mesh objects. Your head comes with a set of animations inside of the Genesis_Lab_HUD_3.x_Basic_Animation item that is included in your v3 Head package.
To use these animations and static expression poses with your v3 Head, you simply click the icon, similar to an AO you might wear to control your body movements/animations.

Animations Section:
There are 12 emoji depicting each of the animations that your head comes with. Clicking on an emoji plays the animation on your head in a timed loop (where every 10 seconds your head will display the animation that you have chosen). There are not (as of 3.1 Head/HUD) options to randomly nor sequentially cycle through the animations, but there are continuous (looping) pre-built animations for blinking and talking at the bottom of the Animation Section, however.

PLEASE NOTE: The animations will stop if you detach the HUD, leaving your head in possibly an unexpected expression. You can use the power button in the top right of the HUD to minimise the HUD out of your way, but you cannot detach it if you wish to continue playing animations from the HUD.
General Troubleshooting:
General Troubleshooting:
- If you have detached your HUD and it has left your head "frozen" in an awkward expression, check to see if there are any misaligned elements such as your eyeballs being too far forward and breaking through the skin, or your jaw not realigning with the head.
- If your head does not show any evidence of misalignment, you can re-attach the HUD and choose a static pose for your head to fix your expression if you do not wish to keep the HUD attached.
- If your head appears to have "broken", such as the eyeballs being too far forward and breaking through the skin, or your jaw not realigning with the head, simply reattach the HUD, choose a static pose, and then relog in order to reset the bones / mesh.
Static Poses / Eyes Rotation:
In the second area of the Animations Section below the emoji, there are the static options available to set your face in a specific non-animated (static) expression. Click on any of the 9 icons for each the Static Poses and Eyes Rotation available to change your eyelid or mouth position and what direction your eyes are looking. You can combine eyelid position, eye rotation and mouth position to create specific looks, but they will still remain un-animated.

Blinking (where both eyes close briefly at the same time):
Click on the Play (triangle) button to the right of either the Genesis Lab Mesh Eyes Blink or the Second Life Default Eyes Blink line to add blinking animations (looped animations) to your face. Use the Stop (square) button to stop your animation. You can only choose one of the blinking animations at one time. You can also Pause (double bars) your animations from here.
Please Note: As with the other animations, the HUD must remain attached in order to continue playing the blinking animations.

Talking Animation:
The Talking animation will animate your face whenever you type in nearby chat. There are comments from many people that have said this animation will continue working even if the HUD is not attached. If this happens for you and you would like it to stop or you wish to stop the talking animation regardless, click the Stop (square) button.
Please Note: If your head continues to talk when you type even after clicking the Stop button: choose a Static Pose for your head by clicking on an icon, then click on the Stop button on the Talking Animation line, detach the HUD and relog.
